The Karpovsky Variations

After her father’s death, Julia Karpovsky desperately tries to reconnect with her scattered family – especially her uncle, who is crazed by the impending cremation of his oldest brother.  Struggling to prevent a meshuga family tragi-comedy, Julia navigates her way through the Karpovskys’ hunger for success, sex, frequent flyer miles and the elusive notes of her father’s clarinet.

Workshop at The Playwrights Center.  Development and readings at The Jewish Plays Project and The New Group.
