Dream of a Deer at Dusk

Set in a small town in Kansas in 1970, the play centers on Manoah, a lonely, idealistic 15-year-old girl who befriends Derrick, a 27-year-old autistic man.  When Derrick becomes romantically obsessed with Manoah, the small town’s fears about this autistic man’s suspected history of violence boil over.  Manoah’s whole world is about to explode, but she is determined to defuse it.
